Groups are warmly welcome at the German Emigration Center! The museum has informative and inspiring offers for groups.
Organizational Notes:
We differentiate between groups of up to 19 people and groups of 20 or more. For larger groups of 20 participants or more, we offer particularly attractive and affordable packages. To book, please fill out the corresponding form.
Group tours
Themes and developments with a focus on: USA and Germany\r
The tour through the entire exhibition showcases 350 years of immigration and emigration history and connects biographical insights with societal debates.\r

German overseas emigration 1830–1974\r
The tour focuses on the emigration part of the exhibition. The immigration part can be explored afterwards on your own. It addresses emigration in the 19th and 20th centuries, illustrated by biographical stations from Bremerhaven to New York City. Migration motives, crossing, immigration and societal living together are the main focus, complemented by personal insights and historical contexts.\r

Workshops for adult groups
In the workshop, participants actively engage with the history and present of immigration in Germany. Through participatory methods, they reflect on everyday life, language, and their own perspectives in the context of migration, and develop approaches for a discrimination-sensitive handling.
