Fair communication on the internet
The website and social media channels Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube provide insights into the work of the German Emigration Center and content related to the themes of the museum. As a migration museum, the German Emigration Center addresses both historical and current societal developments concerning immigration and emigration. This includes a conscious engagement with the causes of flight and human rights, as well as issues of discrimination, group-related enmity, and questions of tolerance.
In this context, a respectful and appreciative approach is of particular importance in digital communication as well. The online platforms are intended to provide spaces for open, factual, and respectful exchange, aligning with democratic fundamental rights.
Insulting, defamatory, or discriminatory comments – such as racist, sexist, homo-, trans- or xenophobic, anti-Semitic, or anti-Roma expressions – as well as glorification of violence, crude or suggestive language, copyright violations, or disregard for the personal rights of others will not be tolerated. Such comments may be deleted without notice. In the case of repeated violations, users may be blocked; legal action remains reserved for unlawful behavior.
A constructive exchange and constructive criticism are welcome. However, comments should relate to the specific topic of the post. Further suggestions or comments can be sent via email to info@dah-bremerhaven.de. Contributions that misuse the comment function – such as through spam, advertising, explicit political calls, repeatedly identical comments, or links to unrelated websites or profiles – will be removed.
For questions, a direct message can be sent or contact can be made via presse@dah-bremerhaven.de.
