75 years of the Basic Law

DAH employees presented the Bremerhaven Migration Museum at the Bundestag in Berlin

At the Democracy Festival, which celebrated 75 years of the Basic Law from May 24 to 26, 2024, selected institutions from culture and volunteer work were invited to participate in the program. This included not only prominent cultural institutions like the Foundation House of History of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Foundation Sites of German Democracy History, but also the German Emigration Center (DAH). On site, our employees presented the DAH with an information booth, activities, and a workshop offer on democracy education for children, adolescents, and adults.

Museum educator Astrid Bormann was also invited to the discussion panel with Chancellor Olaf Scholz titled ‘Germany Dialogue: Together for Democracy.’ A recording of the event can be viewed in the Federal Government’s Media Library.
