Cooperation with the Philharmonic Orchestra Bremerhaven

Chamber concerts of the Philharmonic Orchestra Bremerhaven at the German Emigration Center


In the 2023/2024 season, the Philharmonic Orchestra Bremerhaven will perform its concerts under the theme FOREIGN HOMELAND at new locations, including the German Emigration Center.

To kick off the cooperation, Director Dr. Simone Blaschka met with General Music Director Marc Niemann in the New York Hall of the Migration Museum, where the four chamber concerts of this season will be held.

The concert series starts on October 9, 2023. At the 1st Chamber Concert, works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonín Dvořák will be performed. In the subsequent concerts, Johann Sebastian Bach’s Goldberg Variations, works by Paolo Benedetto Bellinzani, Astor Piazzolla, George Gershwin, Georg Friedrich Händel, as well as Günter Raphael, Bohuslav Martinů, Antonin Dvořák, and Erich Wolfgang Korngold will be heard at the German Emigration Center.

Tickets can be ordered via the website of the Bremerhaven City Theater . Remaining tickets will be available at the box office on site.

Enthusiasts on October 9 enjoyed a full house with pieces “From the New World” (l. to r.): Franz Berlin (Violin), Hyejung Park (Violin), Sebastián Escobar Avaria (Cello), Raphael Tietz (Viola).
