Halloween at the Experience Museum

Creepy tour and pumpkin workshop for families

From Ireland to North America to Germany: Halloween is a festival with a migration history. The Deutsches Auswandererhaus Bremerhaven celebrates this popular spooky festival with family tours and a pumpkin workshop.

Halloween im Erlebnismuseum Newsbild 1

During a spooky discovery tour through the exhibition rooms, families with children aged 5 and up will learn how Halloween came to America and the significance of scary costumes and the phrase ‘Trick or Treat.’ The Halloween family tours take place on October 28, 30, and 31, 2022, each starting at 6 PM in the museum foyer. Costumes are warmly welcomed!

Whether hollowed out or decorated, a grinning creepy pumpkin is simply a must for Halloween. In the family workshop Halloween pumpkin, families can decorate their own pumpkin just in time for Halloween. Along the way, they will learn the story of Jack O’ Lantern and the tradition of hollowed pumpkins. The museum restaurant ‘Speisesaal’ will serve delicious pumpkin bread with jam. The workshop takes place on Sunday, October 30 at 2:30 PM in the museum foyer. Please bring your own pumpkin. Clothing should be able to handle a few splashes of color.

Due to the limited number of participants, registration for the desired event is recommended: by phone at 0471 / 90 220 – 0 or by email at info@dah-bremerhaven.de
