Knowledge formation in the migration museum

How can migration be showcased and what can the museum contribute to post-migrant society?

At a lunch discussion of the German Center for Integration and Migration Research (DeZIM) on the topic “Migration and Museum. From Memory to the Future,” Dr. Simone Blaschka, Director of the German Emigration Center, presented knowledge formation in the migration museum through objects, presentations, and meta-levels.

Piritta Kleiner from the Friedland Museum and Bebero Lehmann from DOMiD also discussed the past, present, and future of migration in a museum context using examples from their institutions.
