On Migrants’ Day
On International Migrants Day (Sunday, December 18, 2022), the German Emigration Center Bremerhaven invites refugees.
On December 18, 2000, the United Nations declared the first International Migrants Day. This day is primarily intended to raise awareness of the demands and self-commitments of the ‘International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families,’ but it also highlights the widely discussed issue of recognizing reasons for fleeing and the exploitation of economic hardship on a global scale.
On this occasion, the German Emigration Center Bremerhaven invites refugees to visit the exhibition free of charge on the upcoming Sunday, December 18, 2022. They can present a form of identification from their country of origin (driver’s license, ID, etc.) or a document proving their right to asylum in the Federal Republic of Germany at the museum’s ticket office for free entry.
