Opening hours during Easter

The German Emigration Center is also open daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM during Easter. The last admission is one hour before closing time. You can purchase tickets directly on-site at our museum counter.

Various tours for large history enthusiasts and small globetrotters invite exploration.

Whether following in the footsteps of real emigrants aboard an ocean liner or in historic New York: Our experienced guides will lead you through the German Emigration Center during the Easter holidays, exploring approximately 340 years of immigration and emigration history through classic tours or family tours.

The family tours designed with children in mind are specifically tailored to the needs of our young visitors. Together with their (grand)parents, they embark on an exciting discovery journey through the scenically staged exhibition rooms, learn more about the life paths and motivations of emigrants at the interactive multimedia stations, and can prove their skills in making sailor’s knots.

Dates:

A classic tour for adults will take place on April 11 at 3:30 PM.

Families have the opportunity to explore the exhibition together during a tour on April 8, 10, and 15 at 10:30 AM.

For particularly adventurous families, we offer tours by lantern light through the museum on April 6 and 13 at 5:30 PM.
