The Sound of Home
After finishing school, Hyunggyu Kim decides to leave his home in South Korea to study architecture. His education takes him to many different countries, including England, France, the USA, and Slovenia. Today, he works as an architect in Hamburg. After all these moves, Hyunggyu Kim sometimes feels homesick. For this reason, he asks his parents to send him his childhood flute to Germany. He has played the traditional bamboo flute, known as “Danso,” since elementary school. For him, the Danso holds a very special significance – when he plays it, he remembers his childhood in his old home in South Korea.
