Highlight Tour

More than seven million people embarked on their journey to overseas from Bremerhaven. Today, at the location where they left Europe, is the German Emigration Center. During the highlight tour, guests will learn more about the history of migration since 1683, amidst authentically reconstructed exhibition rooms that make the museum visit a journey through time. They will also closely experience life in the immigration country Germany. Through authentic life stories, they will discover how migration shapes communities and how diverse human migration experiences can be. After the tour, guests will have the opportunity to search for their emigrated ancestors in the family research area and explore the museum on their own.
