Highlight Tour

More than seven million people set sail from Bremerhaven to overseas. Where they once left Europe, today stands the German Emigration Center. During the highlight tour, guests learn more about the history of migration since 1683, amidst authentically reconstructed exhibition rooms that turn the museum visit into a time travel experience. They will also experience life in the immigration country of Germany up close. Through authentic life stories, they discover how migration shapes communities and the diverse experiences that come with it. After the tour, participants have the opportunity to search for their emigrated ancestors in family research and explore the museum at their own pace.
