Highlight tour
More than seven million people embarked on their sea voyage to overseas from Bremerhaven. Today, where they left Europe, stands the German Emigration Center. During the highlight tour, guests learn more about the history of migration since 1683, amidst authentically reconstructed exhibition rooms that turn the museum visit into a journey through time. They also experience firsthand the communal life in the immigration country of Germany. Through authentic life stories, they learn how migration shapes community and the diverse experiences of human migration. Following the tour, the guests have the opportunity to research their emigrated ancestors in family research and explore the museum on their own.

The German Emigration Center offers highlight tours with a personal guide at regular intervals. Groups can arrange individual tour dates. (Please use the forms on the page for group bookings.)
