Migration: Understand, Discuss, Shape
Migration is loudly and polarizingly discussed. In doing so, it often gets overlooked how closely migration is linked to our own lives. The history of Germany is the history of an immigration country – and this is visible everywhere: in our language, in our food, in our daily lives. In this workshop, we take a fresh look at the history and present of migration. Through a tour of the Auswandererhaus and using interactive methods, we explore how immigration shapes our coexistence, what stories lie behind it, and what role we play in it. The workshop is aimed at everyone who works with different people, those involved in professional, voluntary, or leisure group activities, and especially at those who are curious!
The workshop is held in cooperation with VHS Bremerhaven.
