Animals
Unfortunately, animals are not allowed inside the exhibition. Exceptions are service dogs such as guide dogs for the blind. However, with advance notice, a staff member may supervise a pet during your visit to the Museum; however, there is no guarantee that this will be possible.

Groups
Suppose you wish to visit the German Emigration Center with a group of more than ten people. In that case, we kindly ask you to register in advance. Museum Restaurant
Our Museum Restaurant and Café "Speisesaal" offers you a variety of dishes from the old and new world and homemade cakes. There is something for everybody's appetite. You are invited to discover this versatile culinary world. Our dishes are freshly prepared from seasonal, regional, and ecologically responsibly produced products - also suitable for vegetarians and vegans. During your stay, enjoy the New Port's view from the lovingly decorated restaurant or from the inviting sun terrace.

Museum Shop
Our Museum Shop offers a wide range of products: Books, specialties, and beautiful items for young and old related to the topic of emigration and immigration - and about family research and sustainable regional products. The Museum Shop is easily accessible without an admission ticket.
Opening Hours
March 1st - October 31st
Monday-Sunday: 10.00 am - 6:00 pm
November 1st - February 28th
Monday-Sunday: 10.00 am - 5:00 pm
Closed on December 24th.
Final admission is one hour before closing time.
Parking

Photography and Filming
Photography and filming within the German Emigration Center are permitted without flash and exclusively for private use and upon payment of a photo fee of 1.50 €. Publication, transfer to third parties, and commercial use of the image material are prohibited.
We request journalists and film teams to contact the Media Relations Office of the German Emigration Center well in advance of any planned filming. Furthermore, media representatives are welcome to access further information here.
Ticket Sales
It is not necessary to reserve specific time slots in advance or book your tickets online. These are available on-site directly at the Museum ticket office.
